Iris Software was founded in 1985 by Chuck Lundgren, Tim Gardner and Richard Gardner. From 1985 to 1991, the company concentrated on the IBM midrange market, producing and marketing multiple IBM S/36 programmer utilities, as well as consulting and writing about the midrange. In 1992, the Gardner’s left the company and since then it has been run by Lundgren.

Chuck Lundgren has nearly 30 years of programming, technical writing and graphic design experience. He has created and maintained numerous websites, developed and marketed software products, and written hundreds of articles, columns and subscription-based email newsletters.
